Established for thirty years, Entel is an international Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) which has firmly established itself as a prominent global player in the radio communications industry. Entel operates its own design and manufacturing divisions, with distribution centres throughout the world.
They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day business operations across the UK and drive organisational efficiency. This newly created role will oversee key operational functions, manage teams, optimise processes, and deliver strategic initiatives that support the company's growth.
This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who combines strong operational discipline with sound judgement and a practical approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to delegate effectively. This role requires a leader who can be hands-on, and operationally efficient and strategic, with strong experience in manufacturing, sales or service businesses.
The Role
The Operations Manager will be integral in Leadership, Change, Development and Growth. This is a newly created role with an excellent opportunity to add value to the business in order to assist with continued and sustained development.
Day-to-day duties will consist of:
1. Oversee daily operations across multiple functions to maximise output and efficiency together with monitoring adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
2. Oversee the output of the Sales Administration, Technical Support/Repairs and Warehouse teams to ensure it is in line with business standards through direct people management.
3. Co-ordinate, manage and monitor cross departmental / function work-flow relationships.
4. Design, document, implement, coordinate, monitor and continuously improve operational frameworks and processes of departments involved in stock control, customer support and sales invoicing & administration, technical support and repairs.
5. Translate strategic priorities into clear, executable operational plans.
6. Identify operational risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
7. Work closely with managers and team leaders, to support teams to deliver consistently high standards of performance and efficiency ensuring company commitments are being fulfilled.
8. Create and manage KPIs and produce ad hoc reporting to support informed decision-making.
9. Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and best practices.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in an operations management role, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and a consistent track record of delivering against KPIs with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams. A solid understanding of operational planning and process improvement is required, and experience within the manufacturing and distribution industry would be an advantage. Proficiency in ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, or Oracle, along with strong skills in operational management software and the Microsoft Office Suite, is expected. You must be self-motivated, able to act on own initiative and be able to communicate at all levels
Salary and Benefits
The role of Operations Manager for Entel in Elstree is working 5 days onsite in the office and offers a salary of £70-90,000K + benefits
