Overview
We are looking for a Band 7 Senior Nurse to provide clinical leadership, treatment and therapy with a clear focus on clinical risk and its management. The successful candidate will influence, lead and motivate staff at all levels within the clinical environment to deliver high quality care according to Trust values, and provide expertise, support and advice regarding all aspects of clinical care including implementing evidence based best practice. Working with people with an eating disorder can be both challenging and rewarding; we are looking for a Senior Nurse to support the Clinical Team Manager and staff to deliver safe and high-quality care for this complex patient group.
This is an exciting time for our Adult Eating Disorder Service; we have an established FREED Pathway and we are participating in regional pilot projects (Virtual Intensive Treatment and Intensive Clinical Support) while developing our SEED Pathway. This role is offered on a permanent basis with potential for flexibility in working hours and some remote working, with the base being either Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich; the expectation is that you will work across both areas.
The post holder will be an experienced Eating Disorder practitioner who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for adult service users with eating disorders. They will support the Clinical Team Manager and leadership team, participate in day-to-day clinical and operational management of the Adult Eating Disorders Team, be part of a multi-disciplinary team, and contribute to service development. They will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and sound clinical expertise and knowledge of eating disorders and their treatments, support the leadership team to meet the needs of service users and contribute to service improvements and supervision of other team members.
Here at NSFT we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other.
