New Business Sales Executive - Corporate & Commercial
Howden (formerly Aston Lark) is a global collective of over 18,000 employees. We specialise in commercial insurance and support clients through risk management and growth.
We are looking for a full‑time, permanent New Business Sales Executive based in Chester to drive growth for the Corporate & Commercial division. The role works closely with telesales, sales and account teams to secure new corporate client accounts.
Responsibilities
* Secure new corporate clients and manage the pipeline.
* Engage with markets and attend client meetings.
* Prepare, record and distribute meeting notes and files.
* Produce compliant documents and complete system processing.
* Collaborate with internal teams on market strategies and cross‑sale opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Commercial insurance.
* Minimum 2 years’ sales experience.
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of Acturis system is essential.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
* A‑levels (desirable).
* Cert CII and above (desirable).
Knowledge & Development
* Working knowledge of main General Insurance classes and CII code of ethics/GDPR.
* Understanding of Howden product range, policy wordings and service standards.
