Electronics Field Service Engineer – Based Swindon / M4 / M5 Corridor - £35,000 starting salary plus overtime package
Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd. is looking to recruit to the Field Service department an Electronics Field Service Engineer to maintain, repair and commission gas detection equipment. No previous experience in gas detection products is necessary as full product training will be provided.

What will you be doing?
As a member of the Field Service Team, you will provide exceptional support and customer service to all customers, attending sites to perform proactive maintenance, repairs and commissioning.
* Servicing, calibrating and repairing electronic gas detection equipment to the relevant standards.
* Ensure all serviced products are fully operational and demonstrated to the site responsible person.
* Support other team members on jobs that require multiple engineers.
* Provide customer user training when required.
* Work closely with the Service Admin team to schedule jobs efficiently.
* Complete service reports accurately and submit on time.
* Complete RAMs and POWRAs when required.
* Manage van stock and calibration gas holding, ensuring life‑critical components are cycled regularly.
* Maintain personal PPE and service equipment in good condition.
* Cover a geographical area based from Swindon / M4 / M5 corridor (required) and other areas for 2‑man jobs.
* HNC/HND in an electronics/electrical field or equivalent technical qualification preferred. Full product training will be provided.
* Experience in electronic equipment service, troubleshooting/repair.
* Commissioning and/or installation experience desirable.
* Excellent customer communication skills.
* Full UK driving license essential.
* Confined Space, IPAF and Safety Passport preferable.
* The role can be physically demanding.
