Active Security Solutions North Yorkshire Ltd is a rapidly growing, multi-discipline security provider delivering high-quality services across the hospitality, events, and commercial sectors. We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to strengthen and expand our regional presence in the North West. This is a permanent, full-time role offering genuine progression for an ambitious, operationally strong leader who is passionate about protecting people, places, and communities.
Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and manage SIA-licensed Door Supervisors and operational teams across the North West
* Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders
* Implement operational procedures, standards, and directives from senior management
* Plan and manage weekly rotas, ensuring effective coverage and compliance
* Support recruitment, vetting, on-boarding, and development of new staff
* Conduct regular venue audits and staff visits to maintain service quality and compliance
* Attend Pubwatch, licensing, and stakeholder meetings as required
* Liaise with local police forces, councils, and partner agencies
* Support business growth through account management, mobilisation of new contracts, and identification of new opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven management experience within the security sector (minimum 2 years preferred)
* Strong background in door supervision, hospitality, or event security operations
* Excellent leadership, people-management, and decision-making skills
* Confident communicator, able to operate effectively under pressure
* Highly organised, flexible, and capable of working independently
* Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends in line with operational requirements
* Competent with IT systems, reporting, and problem-solving
* Full UK driving licence
* Valid SIA licence (required)
