About us
Our team provides an Occupational Therapy service to the community of Helensburgh and Lomond. We are an Integrated Community Assessment Team (iCAT) based in the VICC in Helensburgh and work primarily with the adult population.
Peer support is provided by our experienced wider Occupational Therapy team with a broad range of specialisms and areas of special interest and CPD is fully supported.
About the role
This post offers the opportunity for a highly motivated and confident Band 6 to join our iCAT in this key role. You will work as part of a team of Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioner OT’s, Healthcare Support Workers, Nursing and Social Work staff, working across Community, Re‑ablement and Hospital Prevention and Discharge.
You will have a broad skill mix as is required in a fully integrated Occupational Therapy setting and will be required to carry a complex caseload of patient needs within the community setting. You will be responsible for providing day‑to‑day supervision and support to the OT team including your peers and junior staff. You will be expected to support the iCAT Team Lead and deputise when required. You will also work closely with a range of both statutory and third‑sector organisations.
About you
Essential – The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and confident individual who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good self‑awareness, and the ability to work as part of a team. Conscientious, calm and able to adapt to change or unpredictable circumstances. You should also have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, be HCPC registered and have a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
