Job description
Prospero Teaching Hull are seeking a confident Teaching Assistant to work within a client school based near Goole. You will be based within their SEND team, you may also be asked to travel to other schools within the Trust.
As a Teaching Assistant for Prospero Teaching you will:
1. Support the social and emotional needs of children and young people.
2. Promote independent learning.
3. Encourage pupil participation in whole-school life, including extra-curricular activities.
4. Promote a positive attitude and behaviour towards learning.
5. Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, following lesson outcomes planned by the class teacher.
As a confident Teaching Assistant, you should:
6. Have experience working in a School, alternative provision, or vulnerable environment.
7. Have previous experience supporting the emotional and social needs of children or young people.
8. Be an enthusiastic educator with a dedication to supporting vulnerable young people.
9. Have strong behaviour management skills and be confident towards managing challenging behaviour.
10. Have experience supporting young people with autism, learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
11. Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to make an application through Prospero
