About the Role
We are looking for a Flexible Teaching Assistant who can respond to varying classroom needs, cover absences and provide consistent support across different year groups. This role suits someone adaptable who enjoys variety and working with diverse learners in an inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide cover in classrooms when Teaching Assistants or teachers are absent
2. Support pupils individually or in small groups under teacher direction, helping with academic and social learning tasks
3. Assist with classroom routines, transitions, behaviour management, and maintaining a positive learning environment
4. Help prepare materials, resources, and displays to support different lessons
5. Monitor pupil engagement and progress, reporting to the class teacher
Person Specification
6. Some experience in schools or working with children preferred but not essential
7. Flexible, reliable, able to adapt quickly to different classes and needs
8. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
9. Patient, encouraging, with good communication and behaviour management abilities
10. DBS clearance or willingness to obtain, and ability to follow safeguarding policies
