Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: Knowledge of vulnerability management. Experience dealing with cyber incidents. Basic knowledge of managing MDR, EDR and email security systems. Experience assisting with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity exercises. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge and experience working within industry best practices and guidelines such as ITIL, NIST, ISO and CIS environments. Knowledge of common attack types, including phishing, malware and ransomware. Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and basic threat intelligence. Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail. Willingness to practise self-reflection to identify and develop learning needs and experience. Responsibilities: Monitor and respond to threats and outputs from our Managed Detect Respond service, working with suppliers and internal teams to seek resolution. Triage and investigate security incidents to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, escalating where appropriate. Conduct daily checks of our security systems to ensure they are working correctly. Ensure all active vulnerabilities are logged in our ticketing system and assigned to the relevant team for remediation. Work with internal teams and suppliers to mitigate and remediate vulnerabilities and security threats. Assist with the execution of penetration tests and support remediation of the outputs. Assist in the planning and execution of annual and ad-hoc Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery exercises. Assist with the renewal process for our IT and cyber-related certifications. Keep team documentation up to date. Assist in the creation and maintenance of cyber and system recovery runbooks. Track and analyse emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
