The Role
As a Senior ILS Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping Through Life Support strategies that enable the long‑term performance, availability and sustainability of critical defence assets.
Day‑to‑day, you’ll act as the ILS point of contact for assigned projects, supporting the development of support solutions, engaging with stakeholders, contributing to product development, and ensuring ILS activities are delivered effectively throughout the lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and coordinating ILS activities across the project lifecycle
2. Designing through‑life support processes to underpin product and service solutions
3. Providing ILS inputs to system requirements and recommending verification methods
4. Reviewing and assessing ILS elements within industry submissions
5. Managing AR&M activities including spares modelling, MTA, LORA, FMECA and RCM
6. Managing change control and obsolescence
Essential experience of the Senior ILS Engineer:
7. Experience delivering ILS within defence, with strong logistics support knowledge
8. Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and ISO 15288
9. Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
10. Experience managing financial and contractual aspects of ILS tasks
11. Knowledge of Def Stan 00‑600 and the Defence Logistics Framework
12. Strong planning, communication and organisational skills
Essential qualifications for the Senior ILS Engineer:
13. A STEM degree or equivalent experience

This role is full‑time, based at any of our main UK locations. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to customer sites should be expected.
