Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced baby and toddler room leader to join our team in providing exceptional care within our BRAND NEW Children's Nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for enhancing the quality of care and education for our children. As the room leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that plans are effectively implemented in accordance with the EYFS and statutory guidances. This is a room based role and you will be managing a Baby & Toddler room.
This role is a one year maternity cover, however your contract will be permanent. It is likely that at the end of the maternity, you will share the role with our existing deputy manager, dependant on return to work plans.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Manager in the overall operation of the Nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to our children, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Monitor wellbeing and satisfaction, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
* Manage scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
* Maintain accurate records and to report any issues to the Manager as necessary.
* Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and compassion within the nursery.
Requirements:
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage positively with parents, children, and staff.
* Experience in supervising a day nursery
