We design and make bespoke kitchens and furniture for homes across Surrey and the surrounding areas. Each project is individually designed and custom-made, allowing us to create cabinetry that fits beautifully into each house.
We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Designer to join our team designing bespoke kitchens, utility and boot rooms. This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with clients, architects and builders, and who has a strong understanding of how bespoke cabinetry comes together in real homes.
The role involves developing designs using AutoKitchen, creating layouts and cabinetry details that are carefully tailored to each individual space. You will present ideas to clients and work closely with the wider project team, supporting projects from early concepts through to installation.
The ideal candidate will have:
· At least 5 years’ experience using AutoKitchen or AutoCAD
· Relevant experience designing kitchens or furniture
· A strong understanding of how bespoke cabinetry is constructed
· Confidence reading and working from architect plans and section drawings
· Knowledge of appliances, ventilation, ducting, plumbing, electrics and installation requirements. As well as cabinetry requirements around appliances.
· Experience managing client meetings and presenting bespoke cabinetry layouts & designs
· Confidence liaising with our wider team (directors, admin and workshop operators) as well as the client & their wider team (architects, interior designers and builders)
· Experience visiting sites, measuring spaces and discussing plans on-site with contractors and clients
· Keep in contact with the building teams, checking that site conditions such as floor heights, wall positions, and other structural details match the plans.
· Able to communicate clearly with the workshop team to ensure cabinetry is made accurately to the design
· Practical or hands-on experience with cabinetry or furniture making would be a bonus.
