Working hours: Minimum 35 hours per week Interview Date: To be confirmed One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations is looking for Divisional Secretarial Support for our Central Southern & Channel Island Division. The successful applicant will provide secretarial duties in support of the Divisional Leaders and functions of the Divisional Headquarters. This will be an office-based role based in Maidenhead. Key responsibilities: Provide a professional, pro-active, and customer-focussed secretarial service that supports the Divisional Leaders in their roles. The DSS role will also support other Divisional Headquarters colleagues as needed. Manage telephone calls, correspondence, enquiries and visitors for the Divisional Leaders including contact from external agencies, THQ colleagues, volunteer enquiries, donations from organisations or individuals, monitor and maintain standard office supplies and stationery, and open/lock up the office as required. Contribute to the work of divisional boards through preparing board papers ahead of meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes. Draft a variety of documents for the divisional leaders including letters, reports and presentations as requested. Maintain both computer databases and hard copy filing systems as required, ensuring that confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately. Support the planning and administration of conferences, events, and projects. Undertake any other duties that fall within the scope of the role. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Previous experience of working successfully in a similar secretarial role within a busy and varied work environment Competence with Microsoft suite including Team Excellent experience and knowledge of specific secretarial duties The ability to handle sensitive information appropriately maintaining confidentiality and discretion as required Strong communication (both written and verbal) Ability to plan, organise and prioritise your tasks effectively Proven strong experience of using IT software Educated to NVQ Level 2/5 GCSE AC or equivalent relevant experience The ability to work flexibly to deliver the requirements of your role on occasion The willingness to work alone in the office (up to twice a week), and work flexibly to deliver the requirements of your role on occasion The ability and willingness to work within, be empathic with and promote the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army Mission In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.
