HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver to join our well-established and busy builders merchants based in Swindon. This role is Monday to Friday, however some flexibility will be required due to work volumes.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
Shifts: Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:30
Pay rate: £15.00 per hour

Day-to-day duties : As a Class 2 Hiab Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
Delivering building materials to business and customer homes
Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
Using a HIAB/lorry-mounted crane in a safe and efficient manner
Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required
Essential skills: To be successful as a Class 2 Hiab Driver, you will need:
A valid grab HIAB licence
A valid UK Category C licence, CPC card, and Digi card
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
The ability to use a PDA (personal digital assistant)
A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Desirable experience
Previous commercial driving experience (beneficial but not essential)
Previous multi-drop experience (beneficial but not essential)
Training: Training will be provided on your first day, with ongoing support throughout.
