Summary

We're looking for a dynamic leader to shape the future of corporate climate action.

As our next Director of Corporate Partnerships, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering bold, global solutions to the climate crisis. Sitting on our leadership team and reporting to the Executive Director of Development, you'll drive Climate Group's corporate income strategy and forge strategic partnerships that power our work on clean energy, zero-emission transport, sustainable food systems, heavy industry, climate finance, and adaptation.

This is a rare opportunity to help lead change at scale - partnering with some of the world's most influential businesses to unlock funding and innovation for climate solutions.

About the role

As Director of Corporate Partnerships, your role will be to lead, grow, and evolve our global corporate partnerships and membership strategies. You'll oversee a talented team, work across our programmatic and policy teams, and collaborate with colleagues in our international offices to unlock new sources of income and influence. Together, we'll build ambitious, purpose-led partnerships and membership models that accelerate climate action around the world.

You will:

* Design and lead a global corporate income strategy aligned with Climate Group's organisational goals.
* Proactively identify, cultivate, and secure high-value corporate partnerships.
* Drive innovation in how we fund climate action - exploring new products, platforms, and funding models.
* Build Climate Group's profile with corporate funders, establishing us as a trusted partner and thought leader.
* Increase average deal size through strategic, long-term relationships with major partners.
* Act as a senior ambassador for Climate Group in corporate and philanthropic circles.
* Lead, support, and inspire a high-performing team of three, setting clear goals and building capability.
* Provide guidance and collaboration to support corporate fundraising and membership in our international offices.

About you

You're a strategic, forward-thinking leader with a strong track record of growing and delivering high-value corporate partnerships, ideally in an international context. You thrive on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning bold ideas into action. You combine commercial acumen with a deep commitment to climate action - understanding what makes corporate partnerships succeed, and how to align them with impact.

You'll bring experience in designing and delivering fundraising or business development strategies, leading high-performing teams, and building trusted partnerships with global brands. You're confident navigating senior-level conversations and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals that deliver mutual value.

You're equally comfortable in fast-paced external environments and internal strategy conversations. You know how to connect with purpose-driven partners, communicate ambition, and mobilise support for systems change.

We're especially interested in candidates who:

* Are energised by cross-functional collaboration and leading through influence, not hierarchy.
* Have experience creating and scaling new income-generating products or approaches.
* Can demonstrate a values-led, inclusive approach to leadership and partnership-building.

Essential:

* Significant experience in corporate partnerships, business development, or fundraising, ideally with international scope.
* Proven ability to secure and grow six- and seven-figure partnerships.
* Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and commercial awareness.
* Confident communicator with credibility at C-suite level.
* Experience managing, motivating, and developing high-performing teams.
* Deep interest in climate change, sustainability, or systems transformation.

Desirable:

* Experience working in or with global corporates in energy, transport, food, industry, finance or adaptation sectors.
* Experience working within a matrixed organisation or across geographies.
* Understanding of ESG, sustainable finance or corporate climate action frameworks.
