A bit about the job:
This is a high-impact role within our Chief Underwriting Office, spanning our entire commercial portfolio – from Digital and Schemes to Mid-Market and Global Corporate & Specialty. You’ll help shape and deliver our underwriting strategy, define risk acceptance criteria, and support the underwriting of complex risks. You’ll also contribute to the development of market-leading products and policy wordings, while identifying emerging risks and opportunities. As a key representative of the Specialty team, you’ll build strong relationships across Aviva and the wider industry.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Strong technical underwriting experience in one or more of the Specialty classes mentioned above and a solid understanding/experience of Lloyd’s market practices
2. Secure expertise in Policy Wordings and slip business with capability to draft robust documents
3. Strategic mindset with the ability to assess long-term risk trends
4. Experience influencing underwriting strategy and delivering business-critical projects
5. A confident communicator with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement. ACII qualified (or working towards it)
