Lead Plumbing and Drainage Engineer
£43,000 depending upon experience + Overtime expected + £10,000.
London & Home Counties.

The main purpose of the Lead Plumbing and Drainage Engineer is to support planned works across our Remedials and Quoted works team.
We offer a salary up to £43,000 + overtime, depending on experience, plus annual leave, pension after probation, progressive opportunities.
This is a full-time, permanent role. Working hours start at 5am, but flexibility is required depending on location of works and occasional night work and stayaways.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate technical knowledge and competency in undertaking internal and external investigation works, above ground and below ground descales with use of HPWJ and mechanical coring/milling equipment.
* Operate electrical mechanical coring equipment and Picote milling machines for internal drainage clearance works.
* Operate HPWJ equipment.
* Investigate and trace external underground drainage systems on commercial and industrial sites.
* Pay strong attention to detail and maintain a customer‑focused attitude.
* Be a self‑motivated individual with excellent people, communication and customer service skills.
* Perform leak tracing and investigation on above ground water services.
* Repair leaks on water services in service voids and risers.
* Remove and replace small‑bore waste pipe on pot‑wash sinks, basins, urinals etc.
* Replace mixer taps, wash‑down taps and spray guns.
* Replace toilet float lines and stack pipework.
* Remove and install cast iron soil pipework.
* Support drainage operatives with internal drain descales.
* Identify configuration and design issues within internal drainage systems.
* Undertake CCTV survey inspections, identifying defects, pipe condition, design issues and misconnections within underground and above ground drainage systems.
* Use CCTV equipment to support leak investigation.
* Take water samples to confirm source of leaks.
Ideal Candidate
* Confined space trained.
* 3 years experience.
* HPWJ qualified.
* PASMA certified.
* City Guilds level 1 & 2 plumbing.
* Large vehicle licence – CAT C (over 3,500 kg).
* Willingness to work nights when required and to undertake occasional stayaways.
