Technology Project Manager

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of technology initiatives with a strong product-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will combine structured project management expertise with a background in product environments and hands-on experience with Planview.
This role will focus on driving delivery excellence, stakeholder alignment, and effective use of portfolio tooling to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
* Lead end-to-end delivery of IT and technology projects.
* Define scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and success criteria.
* Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, product, operations, and third parties.
Product-Focused Execution
* Work closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate product vision into executable project plans.
* Align project milestones with product roadmaps.
* Support backlog prioritisation and delivery sequencing.
* Ensure user value and business outcomes remain central to delivery.
Planview & Tooling
* Utilise
Planview
for project tracking, reporting, and portfolio visibility.
* Maintain accurate project data, dashboards, and executive reporting within Planview.
* Ensure governance standards are followed within Planview and associated tooling.
* Support optimisation and continuous improvement of reporting frameworks and portfolio processes.
Stakeholder Management
* Engage senior stakeholders and sponsors with clear, data-driven updates.
* Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and governance forums.
* Manage vendor relationships where required.
* Provide transparent reporting on progress, risks, and financials.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
* Proven experience as an IT Project Manager in contract roles.
* Strong background working in product-led or product-centric environments.
* Hands-on experience using Planview (PPM).
* Experience managing technology projects across software, systems, or digital transformation initiatives.
* Strong risk and issue management capability.
* Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
* Ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments.
Desirable
* Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
* Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or other PPM systems.
* Technical literacy to engage effectively with engineering teams.
* Experience in enterprise or industrial technology environments (if relevant).
