We are looking for a professional and reliable Driver and Logistics Trainer to join our team.
This role is suitable for someone with strong HGV or PCV experience who enjoys helping others learn. You will deliver driver training, Driver CPC courses, and support learners as they build their skills and confidence.
There will also be opportunities to develop further and train to deliver other logistics qualifications in the future.
Main Duties
Training Delivery
You will:
Deliver practical HGV and/or PCV driver training.
Help learners understand safe, legal, and professional driving.
Follow approved training materials and course plans.
Supporting Learners
You will:
Welcome learners and check their details before training starts.
Support learners throughout their course.
Give clear help and guidance when learners need extra support.
Treat all learners fairly and with respect.
Assessment and Feedback
You will:
Check learners’ progress during training.
Give clear and helpful feedback.
Complete any required assessments correctly.
Take part in quality checks, such as observations and team meetings.
Compliance and Records
You will:
Follow current UK driver training rules and company procedures.
Keep up to date with changes in driver legislation and training requirements.
Complete attendance records, ID checks, learner paperwork, and training records accurately.
Submit paperwork on time.
Support audits and quality checks when required.
Customer Service and Professional Behaviour
You will:
Represent the company in a professional and positive way.
Work well with learners, employers, auditors, and colleagues.
Maintain a helpful, calm, and learner-focused approach.
Health and Safety
You will:
Follow company health and safety rules.
Make sure vehicles, equipment, and training areas are safe to use.
Promote safe working and safe driving at all times.
Essential Requirements
You must have:
A full HGV licence for the category you will train in.
Held the licence for at least three years.
Good knowledge of UK professional driver rules and legal requirements.
Good communication skills.
A professional and reliable attitude.
A willingness to continue learning and developing.
Desirable Experience
It would be helpful if you have:
Experience delivering HGV and/or PCV driver training.
Knowledge of DVSA standards.
Experience or interest in delivering Transport Manager CPC or other logistics qualifications.
