Role: Outreach Support Worker Location: Stevenage Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00 – 16.00 Contract: Permanent Start date: ASAP About the School This is a special school for children aged 5–11 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. They are expanding their Outreach Service, which currently supports mainstream schools across the Stevenage area, and are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient, and positive Outreach Support Worker to join their team. This is an exciting chance to make a difference beyond one school, working with children, staff, and families to improve outcomes across the community. About the role * Supporting mainstream schools in Stevenage to meet the social and emotional and mental health needs of pupils. * Working one-to-one, with small groups, or alongside staff to model effective strategies. * Helping to develop and review behaviour and support plans. * Delivering targeted interventions to promote social and emotional skills. * Supporting school staff with behaviour management approaches. * Building strong links between schools, families, and external professionals with the aim of maintaining placement in mainstream settings.
