A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well rounded Accounts Assistant to join a fast paced and successful team for a family-run business based in Birmingham. The business is well established and has been trading for over 30 years.
Responsibilities to include:
1. Sales Ledger
2. Purchase Ledger
3. Standard Data Collection
4. Processing orders
5. Chasing Customers for payments
6. Arranging payments for suppliers
7. Supporting with month-end/year-end tasks
8. Creating and posting journals including accruals and prepayments
9. Balance sheet reconciliations
10. Investigating invoice queries and discrepancies
11. To process financial information
12. Data entry and input
13. Processing a variety of other forms of documents and resolving inconsistencies and error
14. Sales and purchase invoices
15. Use of excel functions to analyse and interpret data sets.
16. Provide support to internal departments with the supply of data upon request within agreed timescales.
17. Credit control
About You?
18. Experience as an Accounts Assistant
19. Experience in both purchase and sales ledger
20. Preparing statutory accounts and financial reports.
21. Knowledge of accounts software Xero (desirable)
22. Strong data analysis and interpretation.
23. Strong focus on delivering great service to clients.
24. Fully competent in Microsoft office (excel skills is essential)
25. Methodical in your approach
26. Ability work in a fast paced environment
27. Ability to work independently to tight deadlines.
28. Strong verbal and written skills.
29. Excellent attention to detail
The Role:
30. Permanent position
31. Parking on-site
32. £24,000 - £28,000 pro rota
33. Immediate start available
34. 09.00 AM - 17.00 PM 30 min lunch
