Prospero Teaching are supporting friendly and well-resourced primary schools across the Wallasey area who are looking to appoint a full-time KS1 Teacher for long-term roles starting in February. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 1 practitioner who enjoys supporting children at a vital stage of their early learning and development.
The role
As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons that support pupils’ early literacy, numeracy and personal development. You will work closely with senior leaders and classroom support staff to create a positive, nurturing learning environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn. Schools are seeking teachers who can maintain strong routines while building positive relationships with young learners.
Responsibilities
7. Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the KS1 curriculum
8. Creating a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
9. Tracking, assessing and reporting on pupil progress
10. Supporting children’s academic, social and emotional development
11. Working effectively with teaching assistants and support staff
12. Encouraging positive behaviour and clear classroom routines
13. Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

The ideal candidate
18. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
19. Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
20. Warm, enthusiastic and confident classroom practitioner
21. Strong communication and classroom management skills
22. Reliable, proactive and committed to high standards
23. Good understanding of safeguarding and primary school policies
