Architectural Project Manager – Capital Delivery
An excellent opportunity to join a client's team and oversee a London Station refurbishment Project worth up to £80m in value.
Location: London (Hybrid working 3 days on-site and 2 days from home)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 basic + Travel + Package (Flexible for the right person and experience)
Role Description
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a key Rail client, who is part of the team leading the refurbishment project of an iconic London railway station. Looking at the new architecture, retail units and passenger footfall.
With the projected increase in Rail passengers over the next 5 years, this project aims to handle the rising passenger numbers while maintaining the passenger experience at the highest level. The passenger journey is vital as the station will remain open while the work is undertaken. Hence, we need a Project Manager with an architectural background who has experience working on a live site. Used to developing a programme in a high-volume public environment, understanding the various stakeholders and managing the supply chain accordingly.
Key areas of responsibility include:
* Project Execution & Management: Manage the project team on behalf of the client, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and performance. Monitor project progress against the plan, identify and address any deviations, and implement corrective actions.
* Budget Management: Ensure project budgets are effectively managed to ensure cost control and value for money.
* Schedule Management: Collaborate with the Planning team to ensure project schedules are kept up-to-date, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables by contractors.
* Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks that may occur as the programme progresses.
* Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with and manage stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and external parties. Build and maintain strong working relationships.
* Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present regular project reports, including progress updates, budget performance, and risk assessments. Maintain accurate project documentation.
Your background needs to be from a Client or Consultancy as this role is embedded into a client's team. Supported by a background in Architecture, as the programme will be progressing from RIBA stage 2.
Required Experience
* Degree in Architecture ideally or an Engineering subject.
* Experience working or seconded into a client-side organisation
* Project experience on-site in a public / live environment
