Science Department

Your Role
As a Science ECT, you will begin teaching general science to KS3 classes while focusing on your subject specialism—be that Biology, Chemistry, or Physics—at KS4. From the outset, you'll be supported by a dedicated mentor and have protected time for development, observation, and reflection.
Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering exciting, differentiated lessons in line with the school’s inquiry-led approach

Supporting students’ academic and personal development through formative assessment and effective classroom strategies

Taking part in department planning meetings and collaborative curriculum development
*
Contributing to enrichment programmes, science clubs, or trips
*
Participating fully in the school's bespoke ECT induction and CPD programme
