Pay: NJC Scale 5, Points 11–15 (£32,068 – £33,985 FTE)

The Role – Site Assistant
You will support the management of estates and facilities services across multiple school sites, ensuring buildings and grounds are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. Working closely with the Cluster Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operational running of the schools.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the security of school premises, including opening and closing procedures
* Support and maintain health and safety compliance across sites
* Carry out general maintenance and repairs to buildings and facilities
* Manage and monitor contractors and external service providers
* Support lettings and out-of-hours use of school facilities
* Assist with Trust or school vehicle management where required
* Undertake porterage duties, including moving equipment and resources
* Provide general site support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Role Requirements – Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience in site, facilities, or estates management (school experience desirable)
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety procedures
* Be practical, proactive, and able to carry out basic maintenance tasks
* Have strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Be flexible and able to work across multiple sites
* Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and visitors
* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
* Have a valid Right to Work in the UK
