Astute Recruitment are working with a South Derbyshire-based client looking for an experienced Finance & Payroll Administrator to join their finance team and support a range of financial operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit Control: Manage debtor balances, issue payment reminders, and liaise with customers for timely payments
2. Purchase Ledger: Process supplier invoices, ensure accuracy, and schedule payments within agreed terms
3. Sales Ledger: Generate sales invoices, manage accounts receivable, and oversee incoming payments
4. Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely salary payments
5. Expense Management: Review, verify, and process employee expense claims
6. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Provide reports to support the MD, including cost analysis, margin monitoring, and pricing reviews
7. Team Leadership: Line manage and support the Finance Assistant
8. Policy & Process Development: Create and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
9. Budgeting: Prepare, monitor, and report on annual budgets with variance analysis
10. Cashflow Management: Produce and track cashflow forecasts to maintain liquidity
