Job Title: Electronic Design EngineerLocation: PortsmouthSalary: £50,000 - £60,000 (Depending on Experience)Note: All applicants must be able to work in the UK without the need for VISA Sponsorship now, or in the future.Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Electronic Design Engineer with at least 3 years of commercial experience and a strong understanding of electronic design and testing within a manufacturing environment. Experience working within a regulated industry would be highly advantageous. Our client develops advanced electronic systems deployed across the UK and is continuing to expand its engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of next-generation products, while also supporting the enhancement and maintenance of existing systems.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Embedded Software and Electronics Engineers to design, develop, modify, and test both new and existing systemsDesign electronic systems and complete products, considering component availability, lifecycle, and long-term reliabilityDevelop and integrate hardware and software components to improve current platforms and support new product developmentConduct fault-finding and failure analysis activities from PCB level through to complete system levelUse a variety of test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes and digital multimeters, to evaluate PCBs and associated electronicsDesign, develop, review, and test embedded firmware using CDesign, review, and test electronic hardware, including PCB developmentSupport the creation of new hardware and software assemblies to enhance both existing and future systemsRequired Skills & ExperienceCommercial experience with both analogue and digital electronic designStrong component selection, validation, and testing experienceUnderstanding of Embedded C developmentKnowledge of automated testing methodologies (desirable) If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with your latest CV.
