are currently recruiting for a Materials Planning Manager for an established production company in the Callington area within their supply chain department. This is an on-site permanent role with a salary of up to £52k DOE.
This role is working Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. What your day will look like as a Materials Planning Manager:
* Your day will be varied and ever-changing, making this an exciting opportunity. You will have direct responsibility for managing and developing the materials planners.
* You will manage materials supply and coordinate activities within the supply chain, operations, and business teams. You will also oversee activities within commercial teams, procurement, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and management of materials, minimizing customer service risks.
* You will ensure forecasts and purchase orders are provided promptly to achieve 100% material availability for production schedules.
* Using your communication and creative skills, you will plan and deliver material requirements for promotions, seasonal events, and product launches.
* This role involves significant responsibility in liaising with suppliers and departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
* You will seek continuous improvement in materials management, quality, inventory, waste, and costs.
* You will deliver accurate, concise, and timely reports, manage the department's KPI scorecard, and communicate updates on overdue orders, inventory levels, and supply risks.
Experience required as a Materials Planning Manager:
* Degree in Business or equivalent qualification/experience.
* Experience in materials planning/scheduling supervisory roles, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of customer service and Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with system implementation is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills, confident presentation abilities, and data analysis skills are essential.
