We are looking for a Project Manager for a permanent position for our client in Barnsley
Immediate start available (Subject to interview process)
Salary is £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Requirements
Extensive experience managing custom metal fabrication or job shop engineering projects
Ability to create, interpret, review, and approve detailed fabrication drawings,
Advanced proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar)
Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes including cutting (laser, plasma, waterjet), forming, machining, welding, and finishing
Experience leading projects from RFQ and estimating support through production, QA, and delivery
Ability to translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs and clear shop documentation
Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and material specifications
Knowledge of welding standards and fabrication codes (e.g. AWS, ASME, ISO, or equivalent)
Experience coordinating with production managers, weld supervisors, machinists, and external suppliers
Ability to identify design-for-manufacturability improvements to reduce cost, lead time, and rework
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and job tracking in a job shop environment
