About the role
Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor for a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) in Redditch.
This is a vital role in supporting students who have been excluded or cannot attend mainstream schools due to behavioural, emotional, or medical needs. The role is both challenging and rewarding, requiring resilience, adaptability, and a strong understanding of behaviour management.
This role is offered on a full-time basis Monday-Friday.

About the Role:
1. You will play a vital role in supporting students who have been excluded or cannot attend mainstream schools due to behavioural, emotional, or medical needs.
2. Deliver pre-prepared lessons when teachers are absent.
3. Ensure students remain on task and engage with their learning.
4. Provide classroom support in line with PRU policies.
5. Maintain a calm, respectful learning environment.
6. Apply behaviour management strategies consistently and fairly.
7. De-escalate challenging situations and ensure student safety.
8. Support students’ social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
9. Participate in staff briefings and contribute to behavior support plans.

20. Background in youth work, social care, or education
21. Satisfactory references
22. Able to pass an enhanced DBS check
