Corporate Finance Analyst- Inhouse \n\n£30,000 - £45,000 + bonus\n\nBirmingham\n\n A leading European buy-and-build platform is expanding its presence in the UK and is looking for an M&A Analyst to join its growing team in Birmingham. Backed by a well-established investment firm, the company has a strong track record of acquiring and scaling founder-led businesses across Europe, with ambitions to accelerate its UK expansion through multiple acquisitions per year.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nJoin the UK team at an early stage and be part of a high-volume M&A environment within a professional private equity-backed setting.\nWork for a rapidly growing European investment platform with an active acquisition strategy.\nTake ownership of the investment process, from sourcing to closing, including analysis, valuation, due diligence, and negotiations.\nBe part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team, working alongside experienced professionals in a high-growth environment.\nCompetitive salary package, including performance-based incentives.\nHybrid working model, with opportunities to travel to target businesses and company offices across the UK and Europe.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport the UK M&A lead throughout the entire investment process.\nIdentify and engage with potential acquisition targets, expanding the deal pipeline.\nBuild and maintain relationships with financial advisors, industry experts, and business owners.\nConduct financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation assessments of potential acquisitions.\nPrepare investment materials, presentations, and internal reports.\nContribute to negotiations and, for smaller transactions, take ownership of deal execution.\nPlay a key role in developing the UK M&A team's culture and operations.\n\nYour Profile\n\nBachelor's or master's degree in business, finance, or a related field with strong academic performance.\n1+ years of M&A experience, ideally within transaction services, private equity, or corporate finance\nExperience of financial modelling, valuation, and accounting skills, with experience analysing UK company financials (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow).\nExcellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.\nHighly motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven with strong attention to detail.\nWillingness to travel within the UK.\nThis is a unique opportunity to join a well-established investment platform at an exciting stage of its UK expansion.
