Role

Fixed Term Contract; Start date: April 2026; Salary: DOE (Dependent on Experience); Must be local to site.


Role Details

Perform SIPS (Scaffold, Insulation, and Painting) coordinator duties in compliance with Altrad and client requirements, maintaining a professional attitude and adhering to all Health & Safety obligations as prescribed by law, Altrad, client and best‑practice guidelines.


Key Responsibilities

* Work with a team of supervisors effectively.
* Understand company and client safety policies and procedures.
* Manage and lead a multi‑disciplined contract delivering a safe, efficient, compliant service to the client.
* Collate and report contract performance analysis for operational and commercial purposes to both client and senior management.
* Scope, Plan and Deliver a multi‑discipline service to site.
* Ensure that all employees under your control understand and adhere to the policies and procedures.
* Align personal and employee daily practices and behaviours with Altrad Values.
* Ensure all employees comply with Company, Client, and Project PPE Standards.
* Use Digital Systems provided to maximise time in field for compliance, safety performance, retention of records, progress, and productivity tracking for continuous improvements.
* Ensure both Altrad and Client procedures are adhered to for execution and escalate any omissions from work packs to the Scoper for future pack preparation.
* Provide clear direction of Design compliance requirements to teams under your control.
* Ensure that all relevant documentation is in place in accordance with work, project, and outage procedures.
* Initiate and participate in pre‑job briefs and toolbox talks.
* Discuss working methods with the Site team and, where necessary, consult the company technical/safety department to determine adequate safe systems of work.
* Assess the pre‑job risk assessments conducted by team leaders, to ensure sufficient controls/protections are in place and that potential hazards are eliminated or controlled.
* Plan and maintain a good housekeeping regime, ensuring that working areas are always in a clean and tidy condition.
* Ensure employees are not exposed to any hazardous substances or environments without suitable and sufficient controls put in place.
* Ensure employees do not complete tasks for which they have not been adequately trained.
* Actively monitor work practices and coach employees to ensure adherence to correct procedures and standards for safety and environmental performance.
* Not indulge in any horseplay or interfere with or misuse any plant, equipment or anything provided in the interest of health, safety, or welfare.
* Identify and elevate any significant risk to the health and safety of employees or third parties, who may be affected by the company’s acts or omissions.
* Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the Site Manager.
* Plan and organize work to meet contract time schedule and maximize the efficiency and productivity of the workforce, monitoring progress and providing feedback on any issues that may impact schedule, budget or other areas of the project or operation.
* Attend all relevant planning, safety, and operational meetings as directed.
* Ensure Digital Daily Allocations are submitted, in line with scopes of works, ensuring resource allocation hours and task progress updated daily for all works under your control in line with company direction.
* As directed, prepare scoping activities and prepare work packs for scaffolding, insulation and painting activities.
* Ensure AIMS‑SOP‑24‑17 for Scaffold Design compliance procedures are adhered to for inspections of all structures.
* Work in accordance with established procedure, specification, and specialised technical standards.
* Regularly assess and review performance with employees, taking prompt action to resolve any issues.


Mandatory Requirements

* Experience in both Maintenance and Project work‑scopes.
* Experience in leading a team in a high‑pressure environment.
* Citb SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
* Health & Safety Training.
* CCNSG Card Holder.
* CISRS Supervisor / Advanced Scaffolder.
* Experience in scaffolding coordination.


Recommended Requirements

* ICORR Paint Inspector Level 2.
* ICORR Insulation Inspector Level.
