Our team in Strichen are on the look out for new colleagues on a part-time (16 or 30 hours per week) permanent basis.
About the Role
As a Support Practitioner, no two days are ever the same; you’ll be part of a fun, friendly team who supports five amazing individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex needs to live in their shared home.
Your main aim will be supporting the individuals with their day to day needs which includes administering medication, physio activities, moving and assisting, personal care, appointments and housework.
Some of the individuals also enjoy being an active part of their community, so you may also find yourself being involved in activities like going for walks, riding wheelchair bikes, bingo, supporting in the swimming pool and snoozelin.
About You
You don’t need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we’ll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you’ll need. We’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and SSSC yearly registration fees too!
If you don’t live in Strichen and are not a driver, we will need you to be mindful of the location of our service and be confident that you can travel for your shifts as there are very limited public transport links available that fit with our shift patterns.
All we’ll need you to bring is:

Shift Patterns
We have various contracts available, including weekend only contracts. Shifts usually fall between 06:45 and 21:00 hours and waking nights (21:00-07:00 hours). Weekends are worked on a rotational basis. Waking nights are paid at your normal hourly rate plus an additional £20 for every waking night worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with support from our Training Academy.
