We’re looking for a warm, organised, and detail-focused Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team at The Woolpack Inn — a stunning Grade I listed pub with rooms in the peaceful village of Totford, Hampshire.
Following a major refurbishment, the inn has reopened with stylish interiors, beautifully designed guest rooms, and a renewed focus on high-quality hospitality. With a growing reputation for excellent food, drink, and service, we’re now looking for someone to take full ownership of the guest accommodation experience.
About The Role
As Head Housekeeper, you’ll oversee the cleaning and presentation of our 9 guest bedrooms and public areas, ensuring everything meets the highest standards. You’ll be hands-on, lead by example, and take pride in delivering a warm, welcoming environment for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the daily housekeeping operation across rooms and shared spaces
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest readiness
* Manage laundry, linen stock, and cleaning supplies
* Train, schedule, and support a small team of housekeepers
* Work closely with the GM and Front of House to ensure smooth service
* Take initiative on guest touches and room presentation details
What We’re Looking For
* Previous housekeeping experience in a quality hotel, inn, or boutique setting
* A natural leader with a positive, can-do attitude
* Impeccable attention to detail and pride in presentation
* Organised, reliable, and hands-on
* Friendly and approachable – someone who genuinely cares about the guest experience
* Flexible and willing to support across the wider operation when needed
