Red Kite is a tenant-led, not-for-profit, charitable housing association which owns and manages more than 6,600 homes within 15 miles of High Wycombe, in the south of Buckinghamshire. We are seeking a Chief People & Transformation Officer who will lead our people, culture and transformation agenda as well as our communications and brand at a pivotal point in our organisational journey. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role will ensure that Red Kite has the workforce capability, digital platforms and organisational culture required to deliver our Corporate Strategy and future ambitions.
The successful candidate will be a strategic and values-driven leader who can champion our tenant-led ethos while building a high-performing and inclusive organisational culture. You will lead the development of our people strategy and transformation programmes, ensuring that our people, systems and ways of working support continuous improvement and service excellence.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation and with the Board, you will drive initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, organisational effectiveness and employee engagement, ensuring Red Kite remains an employer of choice while delivering outstanding services to our tenants.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead the development and delivery of Red Kite’s people, culture and organisational development strategy.
* Drive organisational transformation initiatives that enhance service delivery, operational effectiveness and tenant outcomes.
* Provide strategic leadership for the organisation’s people and culture, digital and communication functions.
* Drive an inclusive, high-performing organisational culture that supports innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Lead workforce planning, talent development and leadership capability to ensure the organisation is equipped to meet future challenges.
* Oversee digital transformation and the development of systems that support modern, efficient service delivery.
* Work with the Executive Leadership Team and Board to ensure organisational capability aligns with corporate priorities.
* Champion employee engagement and wellbeing, ensuring our people feel supported, valued and empowered.
In addition to the values and behaviours sought above, individuals should possess the following skills and experience:
* A strong track record of senior leadership in people, organisational development, transformation or corporate services within a complex organisation.
* Experience of leading large-scale organisational transformation and cultural change programmes.
* Strong understanding of workforce strategy, organisational development, digital transformation and employee engagement.
* Experience of working with Boards and senior stakeholders to shape and deliver strategic organisational priorities.
* Demonstrable success in building high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive organisational culture.
* A commitment to the social purpose of housing and the importance of tenant-led service delivery.
