Role Overview The CCTV Investigations Analyst is responsible for monitoring live CCTV feeds, analysing incidents and supporting the organisation’s security and loss prevention objectives within a dynamic control centre environment. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong situational awareness, and the ability to make quick, accurate decisions under pressure. Key Responsibilities Monitor multiple CCTV feeds to identify potential incidents or risks Investigate incidents using video footage, system data and analytical tools Produce accurate incident reports and escalate findings to the appropriate teams Support real-time investigations and live monitoring operations Maintain compliance with company security, data protection and privacy standards Contribute to the continuous improvement of control room processes and efficiency Ensure all systems are operational and promptly report any faults or downtime Collaborate closely with analysts, operations managers and field teams Education Requirements Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics Further education or qualifications in Security, Criminology, IT or a related field are desirable Licensing Requirements A valid SIA CCTV Public Space Surveillance (PSS) licence is mandatory for this role Personality & Behavioural Traits Calm Under Pressure: Maintains composure and sound judgment when responding to live incidents or multiple alerts High Concentration Levels: Sustains focus during extended monitoring periods without losing situational awareness Integrity: Acts ethically, maintains confidentiality and demonstrates professionalism at all times Proactive Attitude: Anticipates issues before they escalate and takes initiative to prevent incidents Accountability: Takes ownership of investigations and ensures accurate, timely reporting Curiosity and Problem-Solving Mindset: Seeks to understand the ‘why’ behind incidents, not just the ‘what’ Team Player: Collaborates effectively with shift colleagues, operations teams and leadership Adaptability: Adjusts quickly to new technologies, priorities and procedures Discipline: Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and control room protocols consistently Professional Demeanour: Projects confidence, reliability and calmness in both written and verbal communication Ideal Candidate Profile Previous experience within a security control room or CCTV monitoring environment Strong analytical and observational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Good understanding of incident reporting systems and security technology Proficient computer literacy across multiple software platforms Equality & Diversity ASEL values the diverse skills and experience of its employees and is committed to achieving equality of opportunity for all.
