About the Role
We’re looking for a senior client‑side project delivery manager to take ownership of high‑value, complex construction programmes that directly impact communities across Hertfordshire. At this level you’ll provide expert technical leadership, shape delivery strategies, influence stakeholders, and drive service improvement across a diverse portfolio of major construction projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead complex construction projects from concept to completion, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supply chains.
* Act as a senior technical advisor, developing solutions and influencing strategic decisions across stakeholders and leadership teams.
* Manage budgets, risk and performance, ensuring robust financial control and value for money.
* Procure and oversee external consultants and contractors, driving performance through strong contract management.
* Drive continuous improvement, developing better processes, standards, and delivery models.
* Ensure compliance with statutory, health & safety, and environmental requirements across all projects.
* Lead, motivate and influence teams and partners to deliver outcomes.
Essential Requirements
* Degree‑qualified (or equivalent) with substantial experience delivering major construction projects.
* Strong expertise in construction related project delivery, construction contracts (JCT/NEC), and statutory compliance.
* Proven track record of leading large, complex, multi‑stakeholder projects.
* Experience managing external consultants, frameworks and procurement processes.
* Ability to translate technical complexity into clear advice for senior stakeholders.
* Strong leadership capability, able to influence, motivate and deliver through others.
* Full manual driving licence, as travel across Hertfordshire is a key part of the role.
