*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure the safety and well-being of children, and maintain high standards of childcare. Previous nursery or early childhood education experience is highly desirable, along with excellent communication skills in English. A valid driving licence is also preferred to support transportation needs. This paid position is integral to delivering a nurturing environment for children and supporting staff during shifts.*Responsibilities** Supervise and support team members during designated shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations* Oversee the care and activities of children, maintaining a safe and engaging environment* Coordinate schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff performance to uphold quality standards* Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management regarding children's progress and any concerns* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times* Assist in planning age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development* Support staff training and development initiatives to foster a positive team atmosphere* Manage emergency situations calmly and efficiently, ensuring children's safety at all times* Maintain accurate records related to children's attendance, incidents, and daily reports*Qualifications** Proven management or leadership experience within childcare settings or nurseries* Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development* Experience working with children, ideally within nursery or preschool environments* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written* Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment* Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation responsibilities if required* Organised, responsible, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently* Passionate about providing high-quality childcare and supporting young children's growth* Level 3 Qualified - First aid.This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals committed to making a positive impact in early childhood education through effective leadership.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contractPay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
