Contract Type: Perm
Salary: £72,000 - £78,000 (dependent on skills & experience)
Job Purpose: The Senior Service Analyst is responsible for managing the service life cycle of technology within their portfolio/function, ensuring all services meet agreed standards, quality, and performance. This role involves communicating process-related activities to relevant parties in a customer-focused manner and addressing any issues that arise.
The Senior Service Analyst will also provide SAP implementation expertise as part of TfL’s transition to S/4 Hana, offering level 2 and 3 support to ensure TfL’s technology tools and services are available, up-to-date, and secure.
Key Accountabilities:
• Participate in the project implementation to transition TfL from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 Hana.
• Accountable for delivering the roadmap of activities that will ensure a successful transition to the S/4 Hana product suit.
• Adhering to project plans and meeting milestone dates within a programme of works
• Ensuring the appropriate technologies are utilised to meet the business process requirements as defined by the relevant organisational units
• To work alongside TfL’s delivery partners to ensure contractual requirements are fulfilled
• Leading on communications to the business, third party suppliers and project delivery to achieve successful transition and running of the services
• Accountable for the day to day running and availability of services within their service portfolio including the service life cycle
Knowledge:
Essential:
• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning: SAP HCM, SAP Success Factors Employee Central or SAP Payroll (GB) and/or integration technologies/systems
• A university degree in a relevant technology/computer science subject or equivalent technical qualification, or demonstrable industry experience in a Service Support/Service Delivery environment
• Understanding of current/emerging technologies and processes in Enterprise Wide IT services
• Knowledge of IT applications in public transportation and its business environment
• Detailed technical and business process knowledge within the area of Functional SAP expertise
Desirable:
• IT Service Management qualification (e.g., ITIL) and its practical application in a large organization
• Knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to the Government/Public Sector IT – e.g. Data Protection Act, EU Procurement Directives and Freedom of Information Act
• Experience in providing effective technical support services to a complex, multi-site operation
• Knowledge of the provision of effective technical support services to a complex, multi-site operation
• Cross functional experience between SAP modules
• SAP and UKG Dimensions (Kronos) skills combined
Skills:
Essential:
• Expertise in developing and implementing two or more SAP modules:
SAP Human Capital Management
SAP Success Factors ECC, Recruitment & Onboarding
SAP Time Management and Shift Planning
SAP Payroll
• Proven upgrade/implementation experience to SAP S/4 Hana platform inc. knowledge of new associated technologies e.g. Fiori Launchpad, Business Technology Platform (BTP) & flexible workflow
• Extensive SAP configuration experience in the modules of expertise
• IT consultancy experience for SAP across multiple industries and client sites
• 7 years + previous experience working as part of a SAP implementation team
• The ability to take business process requirements and convert them into workable SAP solutions
• Ability to write functional and technical design documentation for ABAP teams
• Design and implementation of SAP Security and Authorisation objects to ensure segregation of duties within business processes
• Designing, developing, and implementing complex end-to-end integration scenarios using appropriate middleware (e.g. CIG, SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SAP PI/PO)
• Expertise in formulating complex SAP data migration plans and associated toolsets required for execution
• Excellent oral and written communication skills at both business and technical levels
• Ability to adapt communication to meet the needs of various target audiences, including external partnerS
