THE COMPANY Our client is a well-established business based in Stafford, currently seeking an experienced Part-time Bookkeeper to join their friendly and professional team. The role will be based at their offices on the Stafford Technology Park. THE ROLE This is a permanent, part-time Bookkeeping position within a forward-thinking and supportive organisation. The hours are flexible to promote a positive work-life balance, and free on-site parking is available. Key Responsibilities: • Process and manage monthly payroll, including pension submissions • Post and reconcile prepayments and accruals • Prepare and review the trial balance • Manage sales and purchase invoicing • Support debt recovery and manage arrears • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations • Prepare aged debtor and monthly revenue reports • Match bookings to bank receipts • Post journals and assist with VAT returns • Monitor business rates and council tax accounts • Undertake general administrative duties, including mailbox scanning, holiday tracking, and supplier checks REQUIREMENTS • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role • Proficiency in accounting software — Xero experience is highly desirable • Solid understanding of accounts payable, bookkeeping, and general accounting principles • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team • Excellent communication skills • A relevant finance or accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential COMPANY BENEFITS • Flexible working hours (approx. 21 - 24 hours per week) • Competitive salary (pro rata based on £27,000 - £30,000 FTE) • Free on-site parking • A varied and rewarding role within a supportive team environment This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing and dynamic business, develop their accounting expertise, and play a key role in supporting continued success
