An opportunity to join this successful global organisation based in Milton Keynes and make a tangible contribution to the success of their Shipping and Logistics operation. Available on a 6-month temporary contract with a view to then going permanent, this outcome is extremely likely if feedback from both parties is positive. The main focus of this role is to manage the outbound orders and inbound orders from the external manufacturing site to the 3PL warehouse. Working closely with stakeholders across EMEA locations, this role will liaise with freight forwarders, warehousing and operations colleagues to ensure shipments are arranged and confirmed, ensuring all documentation is processed on the system correctly following all import/export regulations. Areas of focus will include: ensure system-driven documentation has been provided to key partners; verify and maintain records on outgoing/incoming shipments; ensure customer requirements are being met and elevate issues as they arise; and work closely with Supply Chain colleagues to provide daily support when required. To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable experience in a logistics or shipping capacity with working knowledge of import/export regulations, useful but not essential. A self-motivated and positive approach to your work is essential aligned with strong verbal and written communication skills. With an excellent grasp of system transactions and their impact to the organisation, you will be adept at multitasking several high-profile projects and open to a fluid environment while managing time and delivering results. With a high attention to detail, you will be able to use your initiative to drive results and take ownership for your work.
