Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Liskeard, Cornwall. Various hours are available. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life.
Responsibilities
* Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities.
* Build meaningful relationships through excellent communication and a positive, empathetic approach.
* Support are required across a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Work as part of a team to promote safety, wellbeing and independence for those we support.
Qualifications
* Genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to form meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
* This role requires you to be a driver.
Contract and Shift Details
* Full-time: 37.5 hours
* Part-time: flexible hours based on availability
* Shift times: All services are 24-hour care. Rotas prepared at least 4 weeks in advance
* Days: Between 07:00 and 22:00
