About the Role Based at High Lodge Café, Thetford, IP27 0AF, this role is 30 hours per week over 4 days, including weekends and bank holidays. 08.30am-18.30pm We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality service. As a Catering Supervisor, you will oversee food production and preparation, ensuring all catering operations run smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties Supervise and manage the catering team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Coordinate food production and preparation for various events, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality presentation. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all catering activities. Collaborate with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences, ensuring satisfaction with the service provided. Train and mentor staff in food preparation techniques, customer service, and operational procedures. Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and client feedback. Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate stock levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders when necessary. Ensure all catering equipment is properly cleaned and maintained after each event. Experience Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or catering industry. Strong background in food production, preparation, and food safety practices. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while creating a positive working environment. Experience in restaurant or catering operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of bartending practices is an advantage but not essential. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. A passion for delivering high‑quality service in fast‑paced environments.
