One of my local government clients are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Officer. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to join the council’s facilities and maintenance team, ensuring the upkeep and safe functioning of council buildings and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and minor works on buildings
*
Assist with facilities support and reactive maintenance requests
*
Carry out health and safety checks where required
*
Report hazards and maintenance issues to relevant departments
*
Drive between sites as necessary (company vehicle will be provided)
Essential Requirements:
*
Proven experience in a building maintenance or handyman role
*
Full UK driving license
*
Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check
*
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Desirable:
*
Knowledge of health and safety procedures in public buildings
