We are seeking an experienced Chef to be fully responsible for the preparation and cooking of South Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders at Curry Emporium, located in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire (bordering Derbyshire). The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of culinary skill, including the preparation of koththu parotta, dosa, string hoppers, hoppers, idli, wada, a variety of rotis, naan and chapathi, as well as vegetable and meat curries, traditional and modern South Asian rice dishes, desserts, sweets, and street food starters such as ulundu wade, prepared in large quantities. The role requires maintaining consistent food quality, high standards of hygiene, and full compliance with kitchen safety regulations. The candidate must be efficient, energetic, and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Applicants must have a good command of English and strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Relocation to Uttoxeter, Staffordshire is essential. The role requires flexibility, including working 12-hour shifts, with weekend work on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
