Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO. This role will support Lab Test activities, working with engineers and technicians within the Boeing Test & Evaluation Organization.
The ideal candidate will leverage manufacturing operations knowledge and business acumen to collaborate with cross-functional teams from engineering, quality, supplier management, materials management, and program management to achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities include stabilizing the testing environment, implementing lean methodologies, assessing test readiness, and improving quality through root cause analysis and BPSM. BT&E is hiring for a range of experience levels, including Associate and Experienced Industrial Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
* Apply industrial engineering concepts to meet program requirements.
* Support layout development, capacity planning, safety measures, and workflow optimization.
* Evaluate new techniques and technological developments for integration.
* Assist in designing and optimizing production systems.
* Conduct workflow analysis and develop data models and metrics.
* Support process improvement initiatives to enhance schedule, cost, and quality.
* Assist with facility modifications and operating method revisions.
* Document assembly instructions and standardize practices.
* Prepare operations plans, including work statements, budgets, and capacity analysis.
* Support execution planning, performance visibility, and recovery planning.
* Ensure compliance with safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.
* Lead metrics analysis and improvement plans, including Lean+ and 5S initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
* 1+ years of industrial engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 3+ years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
* Degree in Industrial Engineering.
* Experience in laboratory operations and project management.
* Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Additional Information:
* Boeing is a Drug-Free Workplace. Post-offer testing is required.
* Pay ranges: Associate level: $72,250 – $97,750; Experienced level: $86,700 – $117,300.
