Our Great Bear site in Hoddesdon are currently recruiting for Class 1 Drivers on a Full time and permanent contract.
Job Description
Shift: Monday-Friday Nights - Start window 16:00pm-02:00am
Salary: £46,018 per annum basic.
Overtime: £17.70 per hour paid after 10 hours.
* Report to the transport office at the start of shift
* Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
* Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
* Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance
* Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
* Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
* Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
* Make deliveries to customers' premises, acting in a professional manner at all times
* Immediately report any problems regarding delivery arrival times, delays or discrepancies with loads
* Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
* Ensure regular communication with the Transport Office
* Observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery point
* Ensure correct completion of a defect report as and when required
* Any other duties as reasonably required
Qualifications
* A minimum of 1 years Class 1 experience.
* Full C+E Entitlement along with CPC & Tacho Card.
* Experience of Driving Class 1 vehicles.
* No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions
* Understand and able to comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation
* Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
* Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
* Excellent communication skills
