Reactor Commissioning Manager

Salary:
£60,530 - £78,100 dependent on experience.
What you'll be doing:
* Lead, manage, co-ordinate and supervise the complex delivery of the programme for T&C within the specified section.
* Ensure all commissioning activities are undertaken within the Operational Framework and that compliance with all T&C policies is maintained.
* Membership to the Reactor Test Group (Authorisation Group) and associated document preparation, review, and evaluation.
* Act as Deputy Test Group Chairman when required, ensuring adherence to process and regulatory requirements.
* Assess, develop, and skill each team member to maximize their contribution and meet contract, schedule, and specification requirements.
* Perform planning, management, and review activities to ensure products are integrated, safe, compliant, tested, and commissioned within agreed cost, quality, time, and schedule.
* Ensure capabilities and skills development, performance optimization, and efficient use of T&C resources.
* Review processes and procedures to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and establish a dynamic, best-in-class capability.
Your skills and experiences:
* Demonstrable experience in Reactor Systems and/or Propulsion Systems Testing & Commissioning (preferably on submarines).
* Ability to control, monitor, and manage the Test Section to meet the boat test & commissioning plan and deliverables.
* Experienced people manager with clear leadership skills.
* Experience managing deliverables to plan and schedule in similar environments.
* Strong understanding of Nuclear Site Authorization/Conditions.
* Excellent communication skills to explain complex engineering processes and procedures effectively.
* Ability to understand technical issues across multiple disciplines.
* Typically an Incorporated Engineer working towards Chartership, a member of the relevant institute.
* ILM Level 2/3 or CMI Level 3/5.
* MBA/MSc/Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

The Reactor Commissioning team:
Oversee all aspects of the complex outgoings within the Test and Commissioning team, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. Relocation support available for eligible candidates.
