Band 4 Patient Pathway Coordinator ( CAT Team 2 – Ophthalmology – PCEU Windsor )
This is a part‑time post for 30 hours per week.
This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP – and attracts a Fringe payment of 5% of gross basic salary.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Clinical Administration Team (CAT 2 Ophthalmology) as a Patient Pathway Coordinator (PPC). The post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, Windsor, where we provide a first‑class, efficient, pro‑active and patient‑focused admin service.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist admin support to the Ophthalmology teams.
* Ensure smooth transition for patients as they move through their treatment pathway.
* Work within a fast‑paced environment and communicate with patients and colleagues at all levels.
* Carry out duties consistently and accurately, providing high quality and efficient service in a confident and courteous way.
* Full compliance with local procedures, deadlines, and best practice.
* Use multiple computer systems and manage data (electronic and paper‑based).
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous experience delivering high levels of customer / patient service.
* Experience within an administrative environment; NHS experience desirable but not essential.
* Excellent IT skills and comfortable communicating under pressure.
* Knowledge of the 18‑week pathway would also be beneficial.
