YES Manchester is the go-to employability provider in North Manchester. We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Employability Manager to lead and develop our team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services that help unemployed and underemployed residents into meaningful and sustainable work.
Salary: Circa £32,000 per year
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (interim applicants considered)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday (flexible working considered)
Location: Based at Newton Heath (M40 2TP)

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate a team of Employability Coordinators and Digital Support Officers
* Provide supervision, coaching, and professional development to staff
* Oversee caseloads and ensure targets and KPIs are achieved across multiple contracts
* Carry a small caseload to support capacity and model best practice
* Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, training providers, funders, and referral partners
* Contribute to strategy, identify funding opportunities, and support bid writing
* Monitor and evaluate performance using CRM and distance-travelled tools such as WorkStar
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and funder requirements
* Manage budgets, resources, and accurate reporting
* Proven experience managing employability or related services
* Demonstrable success meeting performance targets and quality standard
* Skilled in supporting people with complex barriers into sustainable work
* Strong understanding of employability strategies and local labour market trends
* Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills
* Confident using IT systems including CRM and Microsoft Office
* Analytical skills to interpret data and improve performance
* Values-driven, patient, and non-judgmental with a focus on empowerment
* Knowledge of Data Protection, Confidentiality, and Safeguarding
* Level 6 or higher qualification in management, IAG/CIAG, or IEP
* Experience in recruitment and employer engagement
* Bid writing or fundraising experience
* Partnership working and external presenting skills
* Full UK driving licence
